  The app itself is great! I never had any problems with it until my tablet died. I’ve installed it on my iPad but I can’t log in. We paid to have ads removed but I can’t remember the login info. I tried to reset the password, but it keeps telling me that there’s no account associated with my email address. I refuse to pay for it again.

• Wish I hadn’t started!

  I liked this app very well until it said it was full and I would have to pay to continue. I deleted recipes so I would have more space and it still said I was full, thus giving me fewer and fewer recipe slots.

• Keeps crashing!!

  I previously had this app on an android device, and I liked it so much that I wanted to put it on my iOS device. But every time I try to add a new recipe from the Internet, the entire app crashes. It has even crashed during normal use. This is extremely frustrating! Plus I am receiving a message telling me that I have reached the maximum number of recipes allowable, where as I know that you can have as many recipes as you want off-line, however they will not be backed up to your online recipe book. So why does it keep telling me I’ve reached the maximum amount? I am getting so frustrated with it, that I am going to be looking for a different recipe app. Please get these problems fixed, and I will continue to use this app.

• Deceiving Con App

  This app will auto add you to the subscription service, it is difficult to understand how to keep your iTunes account from being charged. I removed the app, and now I have to monitor my iTunes purchase history and dispute any charges that they might try to automatically charge.

• Terrible App

  I had this app for a long time as an Android user. When I got my iPhone, I promptly installed the app and imported my recipes. However, I had to create an online account something I didn’t want to do because I have my own original recipes that I don’t want public. Well my personal recipes are not only public, (I can’t change the settings) now most of my recipes I’ve had for years under my android app is LOCKED requiring a PAID upgrade before I can access them. I’ve spent most of my day trying to figure out a way to save my original recipes so I can rid myself of my account and this app to no avail. I’m gonna need to manually transfer my recipes. Holding recipes hostage for payment is extremely distasteful.

• Question Android to iPhone

  Can anyone help me? I switched to iPhone X from Note 5. With my Note I could share my recipes to friends from the app, by text messages, but can’t figure it out with the iPhone. Also cannot find an answer online. I paid for the premium version of My Cookbook as well. Thanks!

• Frustrating!

  While I love the layout of this app and it’s features, I DON’T like that it randomly keeps dropping my photos from the recipes. I put them back in and the next time I open the app, a bunch of others are missing. Additionally, I only have 60 recipes and I’m getting a message every time I open the app that I have reached the maximum allowable number. App advertises you get 103 free recipes. This app is only installed on one device, my iPad. If you install on two devices, it counts your recipes twice. Based on the above, I can’t recommend this to others.

  I used this app for quite a while on Android and really liked it. Recently I switched to iOS and needed a recipe app, so naturally I returned to what I knew and liked. Mistake - I realize this app is a freebie, but this is the very reason I am extremely hesitant to purchase apps. It has several annoying glitches that I simply am not willing to deal with. The layout, while attractive and clean (the main reason I gave it 3 stars) is not very intuitive and sometimes difficult to navigate. The Android version didn’t require an account to be signed into to use and stored my recipes on the phone, which enabled its use w/o internet connection. Also, when entering cooking steps, adding another automatically duplicates the previous step, requiring you to erase it before typing in more. If you have entered several steps and want to change the order (or if you’ve accidentally skipped one) some apps let you drag-and-drop to a different slot - in this app, you have to erase and re-enter. “Nice try guys, but no prize.”
